Royal Ashdown Forest Golf Club, founded in 1888, is ranked by Golf World as one of the top 100 clubs in the British Isles.
It has two 18 hole courses - the Old and the West. The Old Course has been used
by the R&A as an Open Championship Regional Qualifying venue, hosted the international match between England and Spain in 2007 and the Senior Woman's English Close Amateur Stroke Play Championship in June 2009. In 2011 the Old Course stages the Ladies' British Open Amateur Stroke Play Championship.
The club welcomes visitors and societies.
